YEN.com.gh has learned that a prison inmate, Gerald Geoffrey Amenyo, has launched a book to inspire fellow prisoners.
The 161-page book, titled “Not Rejection but Direction”, is aimed at encouraging prisoners, especially those who believe they have been rejected by their families and loved ones, to not lose hope.
This, he explained, is because his book is “God’s directives to persons who feel rejected, abandoned, and forsaken, while in actual fact, they are on God’s calendar.”
Amenyo expressed the belief that his book will give readers assurance that God is able to make a difference in their situation.
Opening up on the ordeals prisoners go through, Amenyo said that aside from the congestion in the prison, most families of prisoners do not visit them, which makes them feel rejected and abandoned.
He, therefore, took the opportunity to call on the government to pay more attention to prisoners and consider a review of their sentences.
Information available to YEN.com.gh indicates that a Ghanaian international footballer, Clifford Aboagye, has been involved in a car accident.
The accident occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019, on the Avenida 5 de Febrero road in the city of Querétaro, Mexico. Aboagye, who plays for Gallos Blancos, suffered the accident when his car was rammed by a pick-up truck from behind.
He, however, escaped unhurt but security and medical officials were immediately deployed to the scene.
