Farmers' Day: Samini celebrates 'fellow' farmers in new photo; flaunts huge rice farm

Ghanaian Reggae-dancehall artiste, Samini has joined in the celebration of famers as the nation marks the 2019 Farmers' Day in Volta Region.

December 6, 2019, was set aside to celebrate and reward farmers across the country for their hard work towards the growth of the country.

Samini, in an Instagram post sighted by YEN.com.gh, said he has a rice farm at Wa in the Northern where he visited recently to help in the harvesting.

The 'Obaa' hit maker urged Ghanaians to eat what they and grow what they eat.

Samini was in the news recently for jumping on the 'Buy-Made-in-Ghana rice' campaign.

In the photo posted on social media, Samini is seen standing on his huge rice farm.

"#happyfarmersday to fellow farmers ... let’s grow what we eat and eat what we grow. Behind is my rice farm in the northern part of Ghana #wa.

I went up there to help harvest and also show Ghana that indeed rice grows here and I have plenty #ghanarice #myown brand coming soon .. #saminirice #myownrice from Ghana #akyesaaaaaaaaaa lol #saminifest19 loading #dc lets go," he stated.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh also reported that actor John Dumelo displayed his farming skills as the country celebrates Farmers' Day today, December 6, 2019.

In an Instagram post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Dumelo is seen in his farming gear as he inspects his various farms.

Captioning the video, John Dumelo said he is a proud farmer who rears snails, cattle, goats, pigs and grasscutters among others.
