Menzgold to announce payment schedules and formula on December 18

Public Relations Officer (PRO) of embattled gold dealership company, Menzgold has hinted that the company will make an official announcement on a schedule and payment formula for customers soon.

According to Nii Amarh Amarteifio, Menzgold will make a big announcement on December 18, 2019.

He revealed this in a Facebook post.

The latest development follows the validation of customers' documents done in October 2019.

All customers are expected to visit any of the respective outlets within the working hours of 9am to 4pm each working day and submit copies of the gold trading agreement, receipt of gold traded purchases, gold trading commission receipt, valid national id card and evidence of gold re-trades receipts or agreements,” the statement from Menzgold stated.

Over GHC 200 million of cash, being depositors monies, are locked up at Menzgold.

The gold dealership company was collapsed in 2018 by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for operating illegally.

Menzgold was said to be operating without a license to trade in gold collectibles.
