Tributes flood the internet after video of traffic warden who died recently pops up

Tributes have flooded the internet after a video of a traffic warden known as Awudu surfaced online.

YEN.com.gh has learned that Awudu passed away in the night of Monday, December 9, 2019.

Information available shows that he was popular in Accra as his affable nature endeared him to several people.

News of his demise was shared on social media and several Ghanaians have reacted to it with sadness:

@popeskinnyGH thanked him for his service to Ghana.

@kenny_twumasi added that he is a real champ.

@KBafo described that late Awudu as a very nice person.

@papa1swole added that he was glad Awudu lived his last few days in joy.

@kwecy_loco prayed that he rests in peace.

@Kwaku_AY expressed sadness at Awudu's death.

In other news, YEN.com.gh has learned that the chief of Tinga in the Bole district in the Savannah region, Francis Tipoe, has been murdered as he sat down to watch television in the evening of Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Information available suggests that he had just finished a meal and had sat down to watch programmes on television when an unidentified person shot him through a window.

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem on Monday, December 9, 2019, he added that “the gunmen shot through the window; initially we thought he had shot himself till we later realized that he had been shot through the window.”
