Ghanaians react in anger as lady opens up on how police officials harassed her at night

Details of how police officials allegedly harassed a woman known as Naa Adaku Addo Golda and her sister at night have surfaced online.

Sharing details of the encounter on social media, she explained that she was stopped by the policemen as she drove at night at about 8:30pm.

According to her, four of the policemen, including an officer of a high rank, swooped on her car and accused her of violating traffic regulations.

Golda explained that she rather stopped in the middle of the road to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle which refused to stop.

The officers reportedly tried to enter the car but she refused to let them in and thereafter tried to brutalize her for insisting on her rights.

They then shoved her sister around for taking photos of them and further tried to extort monies from them.

Golda has indicated that she will share the details of the identities of the officers involved if the top officer involved refuses her request for a face-to-face meeting.

She will thereafter name and shame as they are a disgrace to the country and their uniforms.

In other news, tributes have flooded the internet after a video of a traffic warden known as Awudu surfaced online.

YEN.com.gh has learned that Awudu passed away in the night of Monday, December 9, 2019.

Information available shows that he was popular in Accra as his affable nature endeared him to several people.

News of his demise was shared on social media and several Ghanaians have reacted to it with sadness
