YEN.com.gh has learned that a 75-year-old man has wedded an 82-year-old woman after an 8-month-long courtship.

The man, Muhammad Liti, married Fatima Malam in Kano State, Nigeria on Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Nigeria.

The wedding took place at Kan Fako area of Dorayi town in Gwale local government area of the state.

Information available suggests that Liti paid N10,000 as the bride price and the couple had a colourful ceremony which attracted hundreds of residents in the area.

Per a report by peacefmonline.com, Liti expressed happiness at the fact that he had found a life partner and that the union was based on true love.

Malam, on her part, promised to be an obedient wife even though she is seven years older than her husband.

In other news, former president John Agyekum Kufuor, was on Friday, December 6, 2019, awarded the best farmer award in the Atwima Nwabiagya district of the Ashanti region.

The 81-year-old former leader is a native of Dabaa, which is in the Atwima Nwabiagya North district of the Ashanti Region.

From January 7, 2001, till January 7, 2009, he served as president of Ghana and also as the chairman of the African Union from 2007 to 2008.

YEN.com.gh has learned that he owns the JAK Farms, which consists of a 200-acre cocoa farm, 300 sheep, 100 cattle, as well as other crops and animals.
