GHOne TV presenter, Serwaa Amihere, has announced an addition to her name.

Serwaa said she wants to be called Maame Serwaa off the screen.

She added that she would maintain her Serwaa Amihere only for her job.

This is contained in a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh on Serwaa’s social media page.

She wrote: “I want to add “Maame” to my screen name. Call me Maame Serwaa Amihere “

She added: “Ok ok, when you see me in town call me Maame Serwaa, I’ll maintain Serwaa Amihere for work”

Serwaa’s posts have garnered some responses from her fans.

Johnson, for instance, wrote that Serwaa can’t change her name without a ceremony:

There are many other comments showing Ghanaians’ reaction to Serwaa’s announcement.

She was in the news recently after Nana Aba Anomoah revealed that Serwaa was a slay queen before they met.
