President Nana Akufo-Addo has named among the 100 Most Influential Africans in 2019.

This was revealed in the December 2019 edition of the New African Magazine.
Akufo-Addo featured on the list for his role and contribution in areas like eduction on the continent.

Also on the list is Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
Other notable names on the list are Nobel Peace Prize winner, Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Abiy Ahme, Kenyan world record breaker Eliud Kipchoge, the marathon runner.
The list is also broken down into eight difference categories including; Politics and Public Office, Business and Finance, The Arts and Culture, etc.

Overall, Nigerians dominate this year’s list with 27 entries, followed by South Africa and Ghana, both with 9 entries.

English speaking countries represented 65% of all entries, while at 42 entries, female representation is down from 50 achieved last year.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that US company, Crane Currency won the bid to design, print and supply Ghana’s new GH¢200 and GH¢100 banknotes introduced by the Bank of Ghana on November 29, 2019.
According to Graphic Business, Crane Currency was selected from a pool of competitors which included Dela Rue of UK, G&D of Germany, Canadian Banknote Company of Canada, Oberthur Fiduciaire SAS of France and Orell Füssli Security Printing Ltd of Switzerland.
