A movie by award-winning international producer and actress, Esi Yamoah, titled Gold Coast Lounge, is set to bring honours to Ghana.

Yamoah, who once worked in Tyler Perry’s studious, has another movie titled Yaa, which is being screened in film festivals all over the world.

Over the years, Yamoah has carved a niche for herself as a force to reckon with in the movie industry with her input in movies such as Black Rose (2017), The Haves and the Have Nots (2013) and The Front Runner(2018).

Per a report by ameyawdebrah.com, she has shared her experiences about working with Tyler Perry, the Year of Return and on several other topical issues.

YEN.com.gh has learned that Gold Coast Lounge has received 18 nominations at the 2019 Ghana Movie Awards.

These include Performance of An Actress in Leading Role, Achievement in Cinematography, Achievement in Directing, Music Written for A Movie(Original Score), Best Motion Picture of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Performance by An Actor in Leading Role and Production Design.

Popular stars such as Adjetey Anang, musician Raquel Ammah, Akofa Edjeani, Fred Amugi and Zynnell Zuh were featured in the movie.

In other news, former president John Agyekum Kufuor, was on Friday, December 6, 2019, awarded the best farmer award in the Atwima Nwabiagya district of the Ashanti region.

The 81-year-old former leader is a native of Dabaa, which is in the Atwima Nwabiagya North district of the Ashanti Region.

From January 7, 2001, till January 7, 2009, he served as president of Ghana and also as the chairman of the African Union from 2007 to 2008.
