I have fulfilled 181 projects under the 1-district 1-factory program - President Akufo-Addo

His Excellency President Akufo-Addo, in his media encounter, has revealed that he has been able to finish 181 projects under his flagship program '1-district, 1-factory.'

President Nana Akufo-Addo has revealed that he and his government have finished 181 projects under the one district, one factory program.

According to the president, he has built and made ready 181 factories in the various districts in the country.

In an encounter with the press, President Nana Akufo-Addo boasted of his achievement under the 1D1F project.

"I have finished 181 projects under the 1D1F program," the president said during the media encounter.

By his comment, it means that the NPP government have built and renovated 181 factories in several districts across the country.

The president promised to continue working under the 1D1F program to finish building factories in the remaining districts.

Ghana has 250 districts, meaning there are 69 more districts that the government needs to help with factories.

He assured that next year, he and his team will do well do help the remaining districts with the factories as promised.

Prior to the 2016 general elections, President Akufo-Addo promised that he will be building a factory in every district.

Naming it with a popular mantra '1 District, 1 Factory', the president asked for votes so he could build factories.

He revealed that building factories will provide jobs to natives of every district which they do not have to travel to Accra for menial jobs.

Even though there have been reports of some of the factories not functioning, the president seems poised to fulfil his promise to the districts.
