Man in 'tears' after rats destroy his Christmas savings in recent photos

However, a young man has not been too fortunate and his plans to make merry on Christmas day may just not materialise.

Engr Great-Emma revealed via social media that he had been saving for some time now in preparation towards Christmas but has been ''shown pepper.''

He was thrown into the state of mourning after rats decided tore his money into shreds, leaving nothing for him to work with.

He took to Facebook to lament after rats ate the money he was saving for the Christmas festivities.

Sharing photos of the 1,000 Naira notes destroyed by rats, Engr Great-Emma wrote on Facebook: ''After all the Xmas savings, Bariga rat has shown me pepper.''
