Beyonce set to visit Ghana this December with her family

American superstar Beyonce is set to visit Ghana this December with her family for an upcoming event

Celebrated American pop star Beyonce has been confirmed as part of musicians visiting Ghana in December 2019.

According to the report, she is coming over to Ghana with her family to attend an event and tour the country.

In a report sighted by on, Beyonce will be in Ghana as part of the much-anticipated 'Year of Return' events.

The world star is said to be part of the invited guests for the 2019 Essence Full Circle Festival which was launched in September 2019.

The festival will support cultural ownership and economic collaboration in Africa and building bridges between Africans on the continent and in the diaspora.

This will be Beyonce's first time in Ghana even though she has related to Ghana and Ghanaians in several ways.

A typical of her recent relation to Ghana was when she featured popular dancehall musician Shatta Wale on her 'The Lion King' album.

On the same album, Beyonce featured UK-based Ghanaian producer Guilty Beats who made beats for the superstar.

The announcement adds Beyonce to a host of other African-American stars who have visited the motherland in 2019.

As part of the commemoration of 400 years since slavery began, Ghana is hosting a series of events dubbed 'The Year of Return.'

The likes of Steve Harvey, Boris Kodjoe, Naomi Campbell, T.I. Cardi B among others has already paid a visit.

However, the information revealed that Beyonce will not be performing as she is here for the event and a short tour.

The Kempinski Hotel is said to be where she will be lodging as renovation works are already underway for the arrival of the world star.
