- Rosemond Brown has gained ‘favour’ in the eyes American musician Cardi B who now follows her on Instagram
- Brown had often been shunned by her own Ghanaian ‘celebrities’ because they say she is uncouth
- Being recongised by Cardi B, indeed, brings to mind the Bible story of the “Rejected stone becoming the chief cornerstone”

Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown stole the whole show when American female singer and rapper Cardi B visited Ghana.
Cardi B was in Ghana for a show to mark the Year of Return, and when she returned, she chose to follow Rosemond Brown and Efia Odo on Instagram, among all the female celebrities.
Even before the show, there was massive controversy as some celebrities thronged the hotel where Cardi B was lodging to “meet and greet her”.
However, Cardi B stayed in her hotel room for well over seven hours and never came out to meet the celebrities who were waiting.
They included Hajia 4Reall, Moesha, Efia Odo, Afia Schwar, Wendy Shay, Sarkodie, Bola Ray, Becca, and many others.
The celebrities were humiliated by what happened and were greatly mocked on social media.
Then came the roll call – Becca, who was said to be the brain behind organising the celebrities to “meet and greet” Cardi B, started mentioning names of only those she invited.
According to her, the invite was extended to only musicians, but the rest went there on their own.
The rest include Rosemond Brown, Afia Schwar, Hajia 4Reall, Sandra Ankobiah, just to mention a few.
Brown, commonly called Akuapem Poloo, was the one who was mocked than all the celebrities because of attitude.
She was tagged as uncouth, and a disgrace to Ghanaian celebrities because she was seen jumping, rolling on the floor during their seven-hour wait for Cardi B to come out.
However, it turned out that she was the one Cardi B chose out of all the female celebrities to show love for.
Brown has often been looked down upon by her colleagues.
In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, it was published how Yvonne Okoro and Lydia Forson rejected movie roles when they later got to know that Brown was also starring in the movie.
In yet another report, Efia Odo, Zynnel Zuh and Xandy Kamel all showed clearly by their behaviour that they did not want Brown beside them.
This was seen in the way they kept shifting in the sofa on live TVwhile Brown was trying to get closer to them.
Despite being looked on, it has ended up that Akuapem Poloo, the “stone” which was rejected by the Ghanaian celebrities, has been magnified by an American and worldwide celebrity.
