Reports to the effect that Colonel Harland David Sanders is the originator of the KFC recipe is false, YEN.com.gh has learned.

Information available indicates that the recipe was originally made by a Black woman known as Miss Childress.

The reason for the assertion is that Black women were mostly maids at that time and were therefore better positioned to create new recipes.

It goes on to say that according to a social media page attributed to a group known as African Diaspora, Colonel Sanders claimed the recipe was his after he gave her $1,200, which was about GHc7000 then.

That amount however translates into about $15 billion dollars or almost GHc90 billion in today’s currency.

The reason for the assertion, per a report by face2faceAfrica.com, is that Black women, at that time, were illiterates and were therefore incapable of documenting their recipes.

Another report argues that Jack Daniels owes his original recipe to the handiwork of a former slave.

The truism or otherwise of these allegations have left many arguing as it has become difficult to establish the facts of either case.

In other news, some Ghanaians have taken to social media to explain why they believe the ruling New Patriotic Party does not deserve another chance.

According to them, some key figures in government have disappointed them and for that reason they have lost faith in the government.

The revelation was in reaction to a question posed with respect to a passionate appeal by the vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Bawumia, the ruling government deserves another chance because it has done more in the last three years than the erstwhile Mahama ever did.

He made the appeal during the closing ceremony of the youth conference organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tamale in the Northern region.
