Chief Superintendent Kofi Sarpong has dispelled widely circulated rumours that he is gay.
He stressed that the fact that he exhibits feminine traits does not mean that he is a homosexual.
Kofi Sarpong reportedly made this revelation in a chat on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show on Tuesday, December 17, 2019.
This is contained in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanacelebrities.com.
According to Sarpong he was a ‘mummy’s pet’ growing up.
He added that he was surrounded by a lot of women growing up, and so sub-consciously he took the feminine traits from them.
Sarpong reiterated that those character traits do not necessarily make him a gay, asking the public to refrain from making such comments.
The Chief Superintendent emphasised further that he has not practiced homosexuality, and never would he.
Since he became popular after releasing his Me to Ndwom song, he came under heavy scrutiny with many people pointing accussing fingers at him.
Perhaps, being tired of all the accusations, the police officer has decided to set the records straight.
It is expected that Ghanaians would take his words and stop making such claims about him.
