A 72-year-old chartered accountant identified as Mutiu Agbosasa has been gruesomely killed in his retirement home in Ikorodu, Lagos state. The man was killed in his home after living in the United States for 45 years.

It was gathered that the deceased had decided to retire to Nigeria after 45 years of working and living in New York.

According to reports, he was killed by hired assassins in his home in Ikorodu after he returned from a gathering with friends at a club in Lagos Island.

A Facebook user identified as Babatunde Naheemdeen Ayodeji reported that the chartered accountant was a respected and honest man in the United States. He said a friend of the family revealed that Agbosasa was shot dead and his remains were burnt with his vehicle.

Agbosasa's wife was said to have been in the church for night vigil when the incident happened. She was called by the gateman who had witnessed the incident not to come home.

It was gathered that Agbosasa returned to Nigerian with his wife for retirement while his four children stayed behind in New York.
