Lady narrates how she nearly lost her life during church deliverance

- Gifty Anokye a lady whose deliverance in a church went very wrong came out to narrate her story

- According to Gifty, she was just in church when the pastor called her out for a session during which she blacked out

- She says she was admitted at the hospital following the incident but no church member came by to visit and that she has lost faith in the church

Gifty Anokye, a Ghanaian lady who almost lost her life during church service at Bethel Fellowship has narrated her ordeal that was captured in a video.

In a radio interview on Nhyira FM, the middle-aged said that she had gone for a watch night service to seek God's care upon her family when the incident occurred.

According to Gifty, she was in the congregation when, all of a sudden, she was called out by the pastor for personal attention.

Upon coming out, the pastor explained that he would not be the person to perform the deliverance but would rather pour out his spirit into one gentleman named Frederick.

After he went about that, Frederick approached Gifty and blew air in her nostrils which caused her to lose consciousness instantly.

“He told me he would transfer his spirit and powers to a member named Frederick to rather attend to me,” said Gifty, adding that, “He told me he would transfer his spirit and powers to a member named Frederick to rather attend to me."

“When he blew air into my nose, I stiffened as though I had just experienced an electric shock.

She recalled how she was bathed with anointing oil in an attempt to revive her, leading to a temporal loss of sight in the process.

"The [anointing] oil they poured on me burnt as pepper. My left eye became blurred at once but not even my cries for help will stop him from pouring more oil into the other eye. It was at that point that I blacked out,” said Gifty.

She recalled how she was bathed with anointing oil in an attempt to revive her, leading to a temporal loss of sight in the process.

Gifty said that what surprised her more was how she was admitted at the hospital and no church member came by on a visit when she was a church member for two years.

Gifty Anokye who has currently regained her sight vowed never to step foot in the church, adding she has lost faith in the church.

A somewhat similar event happened during a wedding ceremony that ended fatally. YEN.com.gh reported that Joe Steven Melgoza, a 30-year-old man was beaten at his wedding reception by unknown men and lost his life as a result.

The two suspects who were found to be brothers were later arrested in a different state. The bride Esther Melgoza who is now a widow narrated the heartbreaking experience.
