Shatta Wale's name has popped up as American rapper Jay-Z listed his best songs for the year 2019.

With the year coming to a close, Jay-Z who is the owner of Tidal, a music streaming service, decided to release the playlist he has been jamming to within the year.

Among the 40 Hip-hop and R&B tracks Jay-Z uploaded was Shatta Wale's song Already song with Jay-Z's wife Beyonce.

The Already song which is part of Beyoncé's LionKing: The Gift album was listed as the 18th track on Jay-Z's playlist which came up online on Thursday. December 19, 2019.

Other songs selected by Jay selections included Kanye West's Follow God, Russ and Bia's Best on Earth, Tyler, The Creator's EARFQUAKE, DaBaby's SUGE, and Jhené Aiko's Triggered.

The rest of the star-studded playlist saw contributions from Drake, Young Thug, J. Cole, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib, Summer Walker, Roddy Ricch, Lil Tjay, Rick Ross, Maxo Kream, Travis Scott, Rod Wave, Solange, Lil Baby, Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Pop Smoke, Denzel Curry, and more.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z's wife Beyoncé is expected to be in Ghana sometime this December 2019 as part of the Year of return celebrations.

Beyoncé, as earlier reported by, is one of the invited guests for the 2019 Essence Full Circle Festival which was launched in September 2019.

Ahead of the much-anticipated visit, Beyoncé has been spotted in a hairstyle which is synonymous with Ghana and Africa as a whole.

In new photos Beyoncé has shared on social media, the singer can be seen wearing braids, usually called 'rasta' in the Ghanaian parlance.

The photos have already sparked talk of the American superstar being in Ghana.
