The 23-time tennis champion has taken up boxing with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

The dreaded Tyson on Twitter tweeted about their workout in Boca Raton, Florida, on Wednesday, December 18, sharing their training photo: “Wouldn’t want to get in the ring with this GOAT @serenawilliams

The video shared shows Tyson teaching Williams on punching combinations. He later held the heavy bag as she attacks with hooks and jabs, and shrieks with power.

Williams posted a series of photos from the training session on Instagram with the caption: “Preseason just got really real @miketyson #mouratogloupreseason”

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had reported that aside sport, Serena Williams has soft spot for philanthropy. The Grand Slam champion is a philanthropist and she is making a huge difference in Africa through the Serena Williams Fund.

The tennis champion had new schools built in Jamaica and in various countries on the African continent.

In recent time, Serena's foundation built the Marsh Elementary School in Jamaica in conjunction with the nonprofit Helping Hands Jamaica and just before that, the tennis champion established grade schools in other African countries including Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Kenya.

In other stories, YEN.com.gh reported for a sports that is male dominated, the referee world could be challenging for most women especially because women who don’t present as males are oftentimes looked down upon but Tetteh Abigail is creating a niche regardless.

From Saisi in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, the Class 2 GFA licensed referee aspires to become a FIFA referee. Abigail completed SHS at Akwamuman Senior High School in the Asuogyaman District, Eastern region.
