Ghanaian professional footballing star, Jonathan Mensah and his wife, Kafui Tinglafo, recently paid a courtesy visit to the US Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie Sullivan.

Jonathan Mensah and wife paid a visit to take part in an initiative by the US Embassy in Accra to ''celebrate the Ghanaians who play in the @MLS and are in the spirit of giving back here in Ghana!''

''Ghanaian @MLS player @Jomens25 and his wife Kafui Mensah presented a signed jersey to Ambassador Stephanie Sullivan during a courtesy call this week,'' a statement on US Embassy Twitter handle said.

Mensah, who plays for MLS club Columbus Crew SC as a defender and his wife, Kafui Tinglafo, were part of Ghanaian football professionals who visited Ambassador Sullivan in December 2019.

''A few of our friends from the beautiful game came by to greet Amb. Sullivan this week. We especially celebrate the Ghanaians who play in the @MLS and are in the spirit of giving back here in Ghana! Thanks for coming to see us and for sharing our love of the game,'' an earlier post stated.

US Embassy Ghana also shared photos of other football professionals including Black Queen captain, Ama Pele, who were at the Embassy as part of activities marking a week of celebrating Ghanaian footballers who play in the MLS.

Born on July 13, 1990),Jonathan Mensah, better known as Jonathan, is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for MLS club Columbus Crew SC as a defender.

He previously played for AshantiGold, Free State Stars, Granada, Evian, and Anzhi Makhachkala.

Jonathan has represented the Ghana national team at two World Cups.
