Afronation festival in Ghana in limbo as organizers have been sued

Europe’s biggest urban music beach festival, Afronation which is schedule to take place in Africa, Ghana specifically from December 27 to 30, 2019 is currently in limbo.

The organizers of the event, Rave Marketing Solutions Limited and Afronation Ghana Limited have been served with a suit from an Accra High Court.

The writ which has been sighted by YEN.com.gh indicates that owners of the venue for the three-day event, Wonder Word Properties Limited has prayed the court to stop the event from taking place.

The plaintiff wants the court, through an interlocutory injunction prevent the defendant (organizers) or any of their associates from using the land/beach.

The Afronation festival was billed to take place at the Laboma Beach in Accra.

The writ which is circulating on social media has got many talking and asking the question, what next?

What is going to happen to the very publicized Afronation event.

Some of the artistes who are expected to perform during the three days are some of Nigeria and Ghana’s best in the industry.

The likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Becca, David, Wizkid, Runtown, etc are all on the program.

The hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday January 2020.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wonda World Properties Limited, Nana Kwame Bediako, has downplayed suggestions that he is sabotaging the successful staging of the much-anticipated Afronation Concert.
