Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, was seen with his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, as they enjoyed the holiday season on a luxury trip to St Barth.

It should be mote that Sanchez is a former news anchor, aged 50. Daily Mail reports that the couple looked very relaxed and comfortable together as his girlfriend wore a huge diamond ring.

The same media also gathered the duo also spent time on David Geffen’s $200 million mega yacht named Rising Sun over the weekend.

The Amazon founder was seen wearing a blue shirt with black shorts as his girlfriend spotted a white t-shirt and multi-coloured shorts.

Bezos’ relationship with Sanchez was announced on Thursday, January 10, a day after he and his ex-wife Mackenzie announced they were separating.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that billionaire Bill Gates officially surpassed Amazon Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as the world's richest person on earth with a net worth of $110 billion (N39,765,000,000,000).

The Amazon founder ended Gates' 24-year run as the richest man in 2018 with a net worth of $160 billion (N57,840,000,000,000).

However, the Microsoft co-founder regained the lead on Friday, November 15, after Microsoft stock went up nearly 48% in 2019, helping boost the value of his stake in the tech giant.

The rest of his wealth is derived from share sales and investments made over the years by his family office, Cascade.

Gates had briefly topped Bezos as the world's richest man in October 2019, after Amazon's lacklustre Q3 results resulted in Bezos losing nearly $7 billion (N2,530,500,000,000) in stock value.

In other stories, YEN.com.gh reported that for most rich Ghanaians who once had thriving businesses, 2019 marked the end of their business owing to major setbacks particularly due to the unsteadiness of the financial sector which had their business folded.

However, these individuals ‘failed’ to manage their business despite either being given considerable time to save their business or were bailed out by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
