Popular American rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur Rick Ross has arrived in Ghana ahead of his performance at the Detty Rave Concert in Accra, YEN.com.gh can report.
The 43-year-old celebrity touched down at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday, December 26, 2019, and was welcomed by scores of enthusiastic fans and media personnel, including reporters from YEN.com.gh.
Rick Ross' arrival in Ghana forms part of Ghana's Year of Return event, which has seen a lot of patronage from many African-Americans, people from the Carribean and other diasporans.

2019 was labeled the Year of Return by the government of Ghana as it has marked exactly 400 years after the first slave ship left Africa.
Lots of Blacks overseas have been expected to visit the country to mark the historic commemoration, which they have done in their numbers.
It is still expected that many other great names would throng the country before the end of the year.

Lately, a lot of big names have arrived in Ghana to commemorate the Year of Return.
Just recently, YEN.com.gh reported that Lupita, who is known for the popular role she played in the 'Black Panther' movie, was said to have come into the country 'secretly'.
She did not get the usual rousing welcome given to other celebrities who touch base at Kotoka International Airport and pass by the Year of Return secretariat but was captured on camera.
