Official publicist of American singer, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter has debunked rumour in Ghanaian media that the singer will be performing in Ghana this weekend during the Afro Nation festival, as part of the Year of Return program.

Ghanaians have been suspecting and speculating that the 38-year-old musician has landed in Ghana already and is keeping it low.
But the Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure in an Instagram post said it is true the singer was performing in Ghana. She however, could not confirm or deny whether the world star was in Ghana
“Just here to deliver the truth. The official truth and nothing but the truth. Beyoncé is NOT performing in Accra, Ghana this weekend. To all you have returned “home,” have the most beautiful time,” Yvette Noel-Schure posted on Instagram.
As part of the Year of Return programme, many diasporan, especially black American are in Ghana to celebrate Christmas and learn about their roots and heritage.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Mathews is of the black Americans who are in Ghana currently. She was seen at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Friday, December 27.
