Year of Return: Shatta Wale calls on foreigners to come and do business in Ghana

Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has taken a swipe at the current government over what he considered hardships being faced by the citizenry.

Shatta Wale, who was performing at the 2019 Afronation event over the weekend, said the government is not helping the citizens at all.

He added that he was not afraid to say this because the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo knows that he (Shatta Wale) controls the masses.

He called on all the foreigners who had come into the country for the 'Year of Return' celebrations to invest or do business in Ghana in order to boost the country's economy.

“President of Ghana know me Shatta Wale adey control the masses and adey tell them because, foreigners we beg you come and do business in our country because you see wana government, they no dey help we at all,” Shatta Wale said during his performance at the event.

Some are talking about his masterclass performance, while others are concerned about the comments he made on the stage and some are just talking about his numerous songs.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Shatta Wale had showered the kids in his neighbourhood with soft drinks ahead of his much anticipated Christmas giveaways.

Shatta Wale is noted for giving back to his fans but this is the first time he is giving out gifts to over 50 children at a go.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on Shatta Wale's Twitter account, the 'Melissa' hitmaker is seen in an excited mood as the over 50 children kept chanting his name at the gate of his mansion.
