There have been longstanding reports that the American superstar was visiting Ghana for the celebrations which marks the 400th anniversary of the first slaves from West Africa.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Beyoncé was said to be coming as part of the Essence Full Circle Festival.
The reports gained more credence when the singer's mother arrived in Ghana earlier within the week.
But days after her mother's arrival, Beyoncé is yet to be sighted in the West African nation despite many rumours on social media that she had also arrived in Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with Essence on the whereabouts of her daughter, Tina Knowles indicated that Beyoncé is still in the United States and not in Ghana as being reported.
“She’s at home. She’s with her babies,” Knowles-Lawson was quoted by Face2FaceAfrica.com to have told Essence.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé's official publicist has also debunked rumours in the Ghanaian media that the singer will be performing in Ghana at the Afro Nation festival.
One of the rumours about Beyonce's arrival was that she was going to perform at the Afro Nation festival.
But her publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure in an Instagram post said it is not true the singer was performing in Ghana.
“Just here to deliver the truth. The official truth and nothing but the truth. Beyoncé is NOT performing in Accra, Ghana this weekend. To all you have returned “home,” have the most beautiful time,” Yvette Noel-Schure posted on Instagram.
