Ghana’s sensational and controversial dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale is billed to perform at the Accra Sports Stadium during the Ghana Premier League encounter between Legon Cities FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Friday, January 3, 2020.

The Royals announced this on Wednesday, January 1 after the management of the club signed an agreement with Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale came tops amongst artistes like, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy for the gig.

Fans of Legon Cities voted on Twitter indicating they wanted Shatta to perform at the stadium when they meet former champions of the league.

Legon Cities FC have taken the media by storm with their publicity and branding in the build-up to the start of the new Ghana Premier League season which began on December 29, 2019.

Legon Cities FC drew in their league opener with Liberty Professionals and have added to their list of experienced players by signing on Black Stars goalie Fatau Dauda on a year deal.

Meanwhile, Shatta has also promised his fans to all troop to the Accra Sports Stadium for a memorable and historic performance.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been crowned the 'king of assists' in the last decade having set-up his teammates 136 times in the period under review.

The 32-year-old finished at the top of the chart after beating his countryman Angel di Maria (108), Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil (106) and Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller (103) to the record.

Meanwhile, Portugal and Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo finished fifth with 95 assists in the course of the last ten years.
