”Like the stingy thing, it’s a social media thing so everyone hops on it then it starts to trend. Personally, for me I don’t care. So, what they are pushing you to do is to prove yourself that you are not stingy which I will never do. So, you’ll always keep that thing [that perception] in your head till you die and I don’t care,” Sarkodie said.
The rapper also said he cannot be pushed to be who or what he is not. “I can’t live a lie.”
Touching on the perception that he is arrogant, Sark said it was only in Ghana that he is seen as arrogant. He opined that when he travels to other cultures or places, they are cool with him.
“The same thing that they [Ghanaians]complain about, when I go to certain cultures they don’t complain or see me like that. So I just realized I am not wrong, but I am dealing with the wrong people,” he added.
Sarkodie also told host, Kweku Sintim-Misa that fatherhood has closed him down, a little.
“It’s a great thing to be a father, it’s actually what I imagined and more but it has it’s downside, you don’t notice the downside but with time you get to realize that you need to do what you were doing and not put a hold to it because someone new came into your life and that’s what has happened to me. It has slowed me down! I thought nothing else mattered,” he explained why he doesn’t update his fans regularly on his moves and next project(s) lately.
