Beyoncé didn't get to take a Golden Globe award home despite being nominated for Best Original Song - Motion Picture for her The Lion King track Spirit, but she still grabbed all the attention at the awards ceremony.
Actor Joaquin Phoenix won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for his role in Joker.
While everyone else stood up to applaud the actor, Queen Bey decided to remain seated.

People naturally noticed that the singer didn't get up and took to social media to discuss her decision.
While some tweeps thought that Beyoncé was being disrespectful, others admired her 'energy'. One person pointed out that the popular star may have remained seated so she didn't obscure the view with her big dress.

YEN.com.gh learnt that Beyoncé did not walk the red carpet during the Globes awards. She and her hubby, Jay-Z, arrived at the ceremony during the broadcast of the show.
