YEN.com.gh has learned that 51-year-old Felicia Gonzales has sued the Marriott Hotels for $300,000 for their ‘no party’ policy.
According to her, the front desk clerk at the Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center, informed her that all incoming guests had to sign the policy.
Per a report by blackenterprise.com, Gonzales later realized that the policy was not compulsory for all guests.
This came to her realization after she spotted white guests checking in without signing the policy.
The policy stated that guests were expected to limit and “not to insinuate any distrust in the ‘average’ guest.”
“No hotels want to have parties in them and we don’t want that type of business. ” the policy also read.
A spokesperson for the hotel, Jeff Flaherty, indicated that the company does not comment on pending lawsuits.
