Ghanaian songstress MzVee has released a new song titled Sheriff as she promised a few days ago.

The Sheriff song happens to be MzVee's first song after making a comeback to music following her long break.

The new jam is a real Dancehall track which reminds music lovers of MzVee's days as the Dancehall queen.

MzVee released the Sheriff song with a video which was uploaded on her YouTube channel on Thursday, January 8, 2020.

As it is well known, MzVee took a long break from music and was inactive all through 2019.

Initially, there had been rumours that she was displeased with happenings in her then record label, Lynx Entertainment.

According to the rumours, MzVee felt she was being treated as second-rate to label mates Kuami Eugene and KiDi.

But the record label denied the rumours and assured that there were no problems and that MzVee was dealing with some personal issues.

Months later, MzVee announced that she had parted ways with Lynx hinting that she was going make a comeback in 2020.

And true to her promise, she has just released this fine track.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh recently reported MzVee to have revealed what caused her absence from the music scene.

In an interview, the songstress disclosed that she was suffering depression and it took the help of colleague singer Efya to get her through.

Born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda in 1992, MzVee is an Afropop, Dancehall and R&B artiste who is one of the most successful female musicians in Ghana.

Prior to her break from music, she had released many hit tracks and featured some of the best musicians in Ghana

A graduate of the Ghana Technology University College, MzVee is actually the only female BET nominee from Ghana.
