Tunde Ajeigbe, a 27-year-old has been rearrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command after he was jailed for a similar offence previously.

CelebritiesBuzz.com reports that the young man was released from prison on November 19, 2019 which is just about two weeks before the current incident occurred.

According to Tunde in a confession to the police, he was arrested in 2017 for stealing a phone just like he has been now.

In Tunde's own words:

“I was arrested around Ojota after I snatched a lady’s phone and got caught by the police."

“I was remanded in the prison since then and was released on 19th of November 2019 but couldn’t go back to my wife and child.

"I went back to the house I rented before going to prison but couldn’t find my properties and my family again so I made for the street again.

Reports indicate that Tunde was with two other accomplices, Ekene and Bolenbe when they snatched an android phone from a passenger travelling on a commercial bus.

Locals who witnessed the incident chased after the three men who wanted to escape with a motorbike but could not because of the hot chase.

They tried to get away on foot but not all of them were successful as Tunde was caught. The other two gentlemen are still on the run as the police are doing their best to trace them.
