Fact check: Kanye West did not fall off horse while riding into church

A viral video that purports to show American rapper Kanye West falling off a horse while attempting to ride into a church is fake, YEN.com.gh can report.

Dozens of news online news platforms, including this medium, had erroneously reported that Kanye West, a recent Christian convert, sought to channel Jesus by riding a horse into a church but that the animal had refused to cooperate, prompting Kanye to fall.

It turns out, however, that the individual on the horse was not Kanye West.

Factcheck.org reported that a longer version of the video clearly shows the man is not Kanye West.

Indeed, the rapper's wife Kim Kardashian debunked the video in a Twitter post.

Since Kanye West declared that he had converted to Christianity, he has been visiting churches across the US to preach and worship.

The champion rapper has even a released a powerful new album titled Jesus Is King, which is dominating the gospel charts.
