Kan Dapaah’s video: NPP Loyal Ladies issue disclaimer

- NPP Loyal Ladies have dissociated the group from any involvement in the recording and release of a videotape of Kan Dapaah

- The group, in a statement, disowned Chantelle Kujawu, saying she is not a member of their group

- The statement further pointed to opposition elements as brains behind attempts to link the group to the leaked video

An all-ladies group within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has dissociated itself from knowing the lady who purportedly leaked a videotape conversation between herself and the National Security Minister, Kan Dapaah.

The group by name NPP Loyal Ladies in a statement vehemently and categorically said they do not have any ties or links with the lady who released the private video conversation to embarrass Mr. Kan Dapaah.

Our attention has been drawn to some social media commentaries accompanied by a photo of a lady allegedly known as Chantelle Kujawu. It is being claimed in the commentaries that the lady is the one who purportedly recorded the National Security Minister in what is believed to be a private video call between him and the lady.

It is further being claimed that the said lady is a proud sponsor of the Loyal Ladies group. We wish to bring to the kind attention of the general public that the said lady is neither a member nor a sponsor of our esteemed Loyal Ladies group. In fact, she is not known to the group at all,” portions of the statement by the NPP Loyal Ladies read.

The NPP Loyal Ladies rather alleged that the allegations are bogus and a sinister attempt by opposition elements to discredit the group.

Ghana’s minister in charge of national security, Kan Dapaah, was captured in a video in a bedroom conversation with a lady who sources allege is his girlfriend.

The leaked video went viral online on Sunday, January 12, 2020. In the video, the minister, who is married with kids was heard flirting with a faceless lady and also carrying out orders from lady.

The incident is said to have happened in a hotel room in Europe.

Albert Kan-Dapaah is a 66-year-old Ghanaian chartered accountant and politician. He was appointed by President Akuffo-Addo on January 10, 2017.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that it has uncovered the face behind the video chat with Ghana's Minister of security, Kan Dapaah. She was identified as Chantelle Kujawu, a Ghanaian beautiful lady from the Volta Region who shuttles between Ghana and Canada.

Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that the real name of the lady at the centre of this controversy is Selassie Gertrude Bedzo.
