YEN.com.gh has learned that a man who is now 64 years old has been living at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital since 1983.
He has been identified as Lolonyo, though it is not his real name and he has reportedly given up on life, happiness and everything else he could enjoy.
Per a report by Ghana Web, Lolonyo was sent to the hospital in 1983 and has since been forgotten by his family.
He has also lost memory of his background and as such continues to rely on the hospital for his basic needs.
It has also been established that another patient at the facility, identified as Kwame, has also spent 18 years there.
Information available shows his mental instability was caused by a car accident and he is currently partially blind due to the numerous medications he relies on.
Kwame, however, hopes to achieve his lifelong dream, which is a job with either the police service or the immigration service.
In other news, YEN.com.gh is in possession of a chat between Fella Makafui and a man who wished to win her heart.
After Fella Makafui’s split with musician, Medikal, the man, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, sought to try his chance with her.
However, things did not go as planned as she asked him to respect himself and refrain from sending her such a message.
She went on to say that she would block him as well as his entire generation if he goes any further with his plan.
