Ronaldinho has admitted that Lionel Messi never got anything from him when they played together at Barcelona because he has everything.

Ronaldinho was a superstar during his playing days at Barcelona where he was known for scoring brilliant goals, creating assists and also his excellent styles of dribbling.

In July 2008, Ronaldinho left Barcelona for a move to AC Milan which, however, gave Lionel Messi the chance to flourish at Camp Nou.

And since Lionel Messi became a superstar in Barcelona, the Argentine has won six incredible Ballon d'Or awards in his football career.

Ronaldinho explained that he knew about Messi when he got to Barcelona because there were many talks about him before he graduated into the first team.

The 39-year-old added that all the first-team players were impressed with Messi's performances at the academy.

He also explained how happy he was then to have given Lionel Messi the pass that gave him his first goal for Barcelona.

''We were always very close. We learned things, he taught me Spanish and I taught him Portuguese, but with the ball we understood each other perfectly.

"I'd be left amazed by how calm he is. That's something I love about him; he never gets into trouble, he's always with his family and those closest to him.

"Leo has everything, he didn't need anything from me,'' Ronaldinho explained according to Marca.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho made it clear that his former teammate at Barcelona Lionel Messi is not the greatest of all time, but only the best of his era.
