Jose Mourinho: Portuguese manager 'losing Tottenham dressing room' with players

- Jose Mourinho is reportedly losing Spurs dressing room confidence

- The Tottenham manager has lost a couple of matches since taking over

- Mourinho's treatment of Tanguy Ndombele is said to have also angered Spurs players

Jose Mourinho is reportedly losing the confidence of the Tottenham locker room less than three months of taking over the Premier League side.

The Portuguese made a surprising yet sensational return to Premier League after Tottenham announced him as their new manager, with his appointment confirmed on Wednesday, November 20, after the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.

His honeymoon with Spurs seems to be heading to a sour ending with reports claiming Mourinho is losing the backing of top players.

According to Dailymail, Mourinho's tactical approach was said to have gotten Tottenham players more weary and less efficient, hence the unrest and pressure coming from the squad.

Tottenham have only managed to pick three wins in the Premier League out of eight games since the former Real Madrid manager took over the helm of affairs at Tottenham Stadium.

Mourinho's first defeat came against his former side Manchester United in December 2019, at Old Trafford with Marcus Rashford's brilliant double gunning Spurs down though not without a consolation goal from Dele Alli.

His Premier League return was compounded by a 3-1 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in December, with the loss signposting a tough future for the Portuguese.

A 2-0 home defeat to Chelsea and 1-0 loss to Liverpool, coupled with a handful of draws are reportedly getting Tottenham players pissed off.

And a defeat to Norwich on Wednesday, January 22, may get Tottenham management to have a rethink on Mourinho's romance with the club.

Spurs players reportedly claim Mourinho's pattern is different to the one they were accustomed to under Mauricio Pochettino

Similarly, the Portuguese’s treatment of club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele is reported to have put Mourinho off the mercy of his senior squad members.

Mourinho was reported to have also had a face-off with Danny Ross who was said to be forcing himself out of Tottenham Stadium

Meanwhile, the 56-year-old manager is not new to losing dressing room confidence as he was sacked twice by Chelsea after alleged fallout between him and his players.

He was also sacked by Manchester United also after Real Madrid mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the Spanish side.
