National Security operative stabbed to death for failing to honor funeral donation

Abdul Mumuni, believed to be a National Security operative has been stabbed to death in Awoshie, a suburb in Accra.

According to a Graphiconline report, he was stabbed by his friend Emmanuel Gyeabour, 32.

Abdul was accused by his friend, Emmanuel for failing to donate towards the funeral of his late dad.

The sad incident which occurred late night Wednesday, January 22 has shocked residents of Awoshie.

The angry mob arrested the suspect and sent him to the Anyah Police Station.

In other news the police are investing the owner of Zen Filling Station in Mankessim in the Central Region over the robbery incident which lead to the death of a police officer.

The police arrested Isaac Eshun also known as Nana Nyeiku VII, to assist with investigations on the robbery attempt which to the demise of Lance Corporal Kingsley Boahen and injury to two officers when they responded to a distress call at about 0200hours on Wednesday, January 22 from the ZEN filling station.

Mr Eshun is in the custody of the Central Regional Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

The police during its investigations suspects the spent cartridges retrieved from the murder scene were fired from the shotgun and pistol belonging to Mr Eshun.

Aljazeera reports that the administration of Donald Trump on Thursday, January, 23, disclosed that the new visa rules are aimed at restricting women from travelling to the United States to give birth so their children can have a coveted US passport.
