Per a report by myjoyonline.com, the fire was set after two failed attempts.

Kwame’s sister managed to escape but suffered some burns and her father’s charred body was spotted on a wooden bench in one of the rooms.

Information available suggests that the incident follows a similar one that ocurred at Damang, near Asante Mampong.

Andrews Atta Kwadwo Atta, a former teacher at the St. Monica’s Senior High School, lost her life in a bush fire.

GNFS officials responded to distress calls at about 11:40 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020.

The intensity of the fire, however, compelled them to call for help from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Fire Station.

In other news, a video that has since gone viral on social media shows the deplorable conditions in which some Senior High School (SHS) students are living.

Information available suggests that the residents of such places are students of the Accra Wesley Girls School.

The video shows a portion of the uncompleted building which is believed to a hostel, with cooking utensils, footwear, beddings, and clothing displayed around.

Some Ghanaians, surprised by the content of the video, reacted to it on social media.
