Physically-challenged JHS teacher gets life-changing job opportunity at top bank

Michael Showunmi, a physically challenged man who is affectionately called ‘the World’s Best Teacher’ because no student of his has ever failed in BECE has been offered a top at Fidelity Bank in Nigeria. reports that the teacher was granted the offer at an event where the story of Michael's determination, passion and impact was told.

The MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank PLC, Nnamdi Okonkwo who was at the event and saw the video documentary on the life of the young man decided to give him a life-changing offer.

Reports indicate that the brilliant Math teacher is set to undergo some training and banking courses & pieces of training and thereafter become a lecturer at the Fidelity Academy.

In the video documentary, the smart teacher spoke about his journey to university as a physically challenged man, saying it was not easy at all.

According to the young man who got disabled at age 2, it was a great challenge moving from lecture hall to lecture hall.

Some of the students that Michael Showunmi has been teaching spoke in the documentary and testified that their Maths teacher explains the concepts extremely well to their understanding.

One particular girl mentioned that her best subject is mathematics just because of how simple Michael Showunmi makes the teachings for them.

In other news, Camden Myers, a 9-year-old boy Black boy in the United States has set up Cam’s Coffee Creations which employs only people living with disabilities. reports that the staff at Camden Myers' Cam's Coffee Creations is made up of students from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools who have disabilities.

The young boy himself suffered a traumatic brain injury when he was born. This challenge he suffered as well as the knack Camden has for business culminated into a strong drive for his business.
