Barely less than a week after Kobe Bryant’s chopper crash-landed killing the retired NBA star and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, more revelations have now emerged that are lifting the lid on what really went wrong with the helicopter.
Bryant tragically died aged 41 in an unfortunate helicopter crash in Calabasas California on Sunday night, January 26.
The NBA legend and business mogul died with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people aboard.
Bryant was on his way to a basketball match when the incident happened, and his death has since plunged the sports world into perennial mourning.
Findings have now revealed that Bryant's chopper was missing on a potentially life-saving warning system that could have alerted the pilot before the unfortunate crash occurred.
Experts have argued that bad weather conditions could have occasioned the fatal crash as the chopper could have been flying in the midst of the cloud.
But it was also revealed that the incident could have been totally avoided had the chopper had a terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS).
The potentially-life saving system could have easily alerted the pilot of the danger ahead as some the expert argued in a bid to unravel the incident.
The Mamba chopper reportedly was also missing a black box recording system that most aeroplanes have.
Kobe leaves behind his window Vanessa and his three daughters including Bianca and Natalia.
Petitions are now ongoing calling on NBA body to make 'Mamba' the new face of their logo, with over 18,000 signatures already gathered since the news of his tragic passing broke.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had reported that as the world continues to mourn the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, after the club put their training in an abrupt halt in honour of the late basketball legend.
The club captain Sergio Ramos wore Kobe Bryant's number 10 USA jersey in a show of despair over the loss of one of the greatest personalities sports ever produced.
