Policeman caught on camera drunk and directionless (Video)

- A video has been making its way around social media, showing a cop who isn't sober in the least

- The video may be old or relatively new, but it still remains a relevant issue in Africa

Social media users were left feeling angered and disappointed in a video that recently got shared on Twitter.

In the video, a police officer who is in his uniform and was driving a police minibus is seen being drunk.

The video got many comments from upset social media users, YEN.com.gh noticed. No one was pleased to see the drunken officer.

Just two months ago, another drunken officer made headlines. He became the subject of an investigation after a video went viral showing him refusing to help a pleading mother.

The footage surfaced on Twitter as well and was said to have taken place at the Midrand police station. According to a tweep, @TPAKKIES, who posted the video online, the policeman was allegedly drunk.

The officer can be heard saying in the video that he didn't care if the woman died.

He said: “It is none of my business … she can die and I can write an affidavit that she died.”

According to Alberton Record, the SAPS launched an internal investigation into the footage that has gone viral. Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters revealed that no formal complaint had been laid but an “urgent” probe into the matter was launched.

In other news, Michael Showunmi, a physically challenged man who is affectionately called ‘the World’s Best Teacher’ because no student of his has ever failed in BECE has been offered a top at Fidelity Bank in Nigeria.

It is reported that the teacher was granted the offer at an event where the story of Michael's determination, passion and impact was told.

The MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank PLC, Nnamdi Okonkwo who was at the event and saw the video documentary on the life of the young man decided to give him a life-changing offer.
