Baby shower goes wrong as baby arrives earlier than expected

Kambua Manundu has opened up on the reason her secret baby shower did not happen as planned.

The gospel musician who welcomed her first baby last year after seven years in marriage said the baby was the reason why she did not get the surprise.

In an Instagram post, the mother of one was sharing news of how her family came together over the weekend to celebrate her baby and in the process hinted the baby came earlier than expected.

"This past weekend my family came together and put up a most precious celebration for my little bub, Nathaniel Muhoro," wrote Kambua.

According to the TV host, a surprise baby shower had been organised for her in 2019 before welcoming her baby but instead, he surprised them earlier.

"Last year a baby shower was planned and it backfired because baby decided to come early," she added.

Kambua also shared a beautiful photo of how her big day with family was.

Kambua's prayers were answered on Saturday, August 10, when she welcomed a bouncing baby boy.

The Bambika show host had prayed for long to hold a bundle of joy and indeed was grateful to her and granted her wish.

The singer got married to the love of her life Jackson Mathu in 2012 and together they trusted God for seven years to bless their marriage with a baby.

Although she was bold, she at one time narrated how she was mocked on social media for not having a baby.

She took to social media to encourage women as she revealed she was expecting her first baby and when time was due, she took a break from TV.

Kambua recently made a comeback on TV and on social media and her fans kept on congratulating her.

An excited Kambua shared how she was overwhelmed with motherhood saying she would not trade that role with anything.

Although she misses the benefits that come with pregnancy, the singer thanked God for her bundle of joy.

In other news, a young and vibrant Ghanaian businessman by name Nelson Boateng has launched a business called Nelplast Ghana Limited which uses plastics as 'concrete' to build roads and houses.

In a short documentary sighted by YEN.com.gh, the founder and CEO of Nelplast spoke about the relevance of his venture, saying it is not in any way meant to kill the cement businesses that exist.

Nelson explains that his only motive is to make sure that the planet stops getting destroyed by the numerous plastic waste that is churned out on a daily basis.
