“Going to the courts will be the only way Akufo-Addo will be enjoined to implement the recommendations of the Commission.
We are going to to sue the president for refusing to implement the recommendations from the white paper of the Short Commission,” he said.

The Commission of Inquiry was set up by government to look into the circumstances that led to the violence.

It has since presented its report to government but a White Paper subsequently issued rejected some of the recommendations.

Government claimed in the White Paper that the Commission failed to address the first term of reference, which was “to make a full, faithful and impartial inquiry into the circumstances of, and establish the facts leading to, the events and associated violence that occurred during the Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election on the 31st day of January, 2019”.
