Coronavirus: Fresh details show how virus is claiming lives and the danger Africa finds itself in

A passenger on a Kenyan Airways flight who arrived in Nairobi on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, is reported to be the first case of the coronavirus in East Africa.

Per a report by qz.com, the affected person is currently being quarantined at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi.

Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that a 34-year-old student arrived on a flight from Beijing to Ivory Coast and is being regarded as a potential Kenyan case of the virus.

At the moment, it is estimated that about 4,600 students from Africa are currently staying in the Hubei province, whose capital city, Wuhan, has become the ground zero for the spread of the deadly virus.

France24.com reports that there are no verified cases of infections in Africa to date but trade relations with China as well as overstretched healthcare systems have led to increased concerns.

On Thursday, January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global emergency as the virus spreads.

Updated information received shows that there are 362 confirmed deaths from the virus and Hubei, where it is mostly concentrated has a total of 11,177 cases.

Of the total number infected however, 530 people have reportedly fully recovered after being treated for the virus.

In other news, some Tesla employees have opened up about six features of cars produced that buyers may be ignorant of.

The workers revealed that Tesla cars have unique features in terms of production quality, regenerative braking, and durability.

Those interviewed, numbering five, who are both present and former workers, opened up to Business Insider.

According to them, one cardinal feature present in Tesla cars is durability. A former salesperson stated that "Teslas are made to last a long time."

Another characteristic of Tesla cars is their ability to teach users about how to use the car.

A current salesperson noted that there are tutorials available to educate users.
