Meet the blind mechanic and father of 7 who's the 'final solution' in his town (Video)

Emeka Abugu, a 37-year-old visually impaired mechanic at Enugu Ezike, South-Eastern Nigeria who fathers 7 children is regarded as the most reliable in his community despite his physical challenge.

In a video report by BBC, the middle-aged man reveals that he lost his sight due to childhood measles he suffered.

Emeka indicates that at the time, there were no cure or treatment medicines for the disease which caused the worst to happen to him.

The passionate father and mechanic makes it clear that when he grew older, he went back to the hospital to seek treatment but he was told that his eyes had become untreatable by that time.

Speaking about how he got into the job of a mechanic, Emeka Abugu states that he started with repairing bicycles, which was a skill he learnt from his father by the use of simple mechanical tools.

“Little by little, I started perfecting the skills; that is how I started fixing things,” Abugu told BBC Africa.

Abugu who attributes his ingenuity to spirituality said: “Any hard work that comes to me, I see it first spiritually.”

He stated that when he has work to repair; he visualizes how the parts were built in the factory to see if they are still in their rightful positions before he commences work.

In other news, popular Ghanaian dancehall artiste and reggae singer Stonebwoy has surprised his Alma Mater the Tema Methodist Day Senior High School commonly known as MEDASS with an unexpected performance.

Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy and the CEO of Burniton Music Group was spotted dressed in one of the students' attires on the day of the big surprise.

The Ghanaian celebrity posted a short video highlighting the visit on his official Instagram handle where he tagged the post: "Alma Mater. Tema Methodist Day SHS".
