A Twitter user with the handle name @lilmisscheesy has raised important ethical issues of academic nepotism and corruption after she recounted how her family has been shaken after her cousin failed their aunt.

@lilmisscheesy revealed her cousin, who lectures her aunt at a university failed her after she sat for her paper.

According to @lilmisscheesy, her family is alarmed by the strict quality of ethical standard upheld by her cousin who lectures at the same university her aunt is pursuing a programme in.

''My cousin lectures my Aunty at uni and she failed her. Our family is shaken,'' she said in a post on Twitter.

While @lilmisscheesy's fifteen words appear not to be a great deal, her tweet has unearthed an enormous subject of academic nepotism at universities.

Following the viral tweet, which has garnered over 28k reactions, @lilmisscheesy’s cousin, has been remarkably commended for upholding a great standard of ethical dealings without showing favouritism regardless of the person involved.

''I stan an ethical queen. Your cousin ain't about that nepotism life,'' @t_nunubear showered accolades on @lilmisscheesy’s cousin.

@Elda03188530 wrote: ''Your aunty failed and it's right for your cousin to give her what she deserves. We all condemn nepotism.''

In replying @lilmisscheesy, @ScarTissue101 queried: ''Did Aunty pass ni?

Did she fail Aunty or did Aunty fail?''

She added: ''Aunty should call for her script so we can know the truth!!''

''Well she failed. That's the truth. My sister didn't blast my dad's course either. She managed to pass. He only noticed her score when he was filling in the result sheet. Some people are that principled,'' @nwaegbe_nkem said in response to the viral tweet.

@IgebinaA wrote: ''I wonder why this should be news except it is established the lecturer didn't follow standards...vc daughter failed a course one time in my school and nothing happened.''

In other stories, YEN.com.gh reported that Elvis Tefe, the young chap who gained major traction online after his video interview with Citifm after he faced challenges in the senior high school placements, has once again been trending this week.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the 16-year-old Junior High School (JHS) graduate was spotted sweet-talking a female student from Mfantsiman Girls' Senior High School.

Even before that story disappeared on people’s social media timelines, Elvis Tefe, has been videoed dancing vigourously at the just ended #itmoc school tour which made its first stop at Adisadel College, which was headlined by urban gospel star Kobby Salm.
