1. Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway accident
About thirty-four people died with many others injured in a massive accident on the Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway.
The accident happened at 12:15 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Both drivers died instantly with one of them having his body trapped in the mangled vehicle.
2. Fire at Agbogbloshie-Konkomba market
On January 5, 2020, reports indicated that massive fire had engulfed a huge section of the Agbogbloshie-Konkomba market in Accra. The exact location of the fire at the market was the Agbogbloshie-Konkomba yam market.
Pictures captured of the incident show the massive extent of the fire and how many people were staying away for their own safety.
3. Accra Academy fire
Information that reached YEN.com.gh indicated that certain parts of the Accra Academy senior high school located at Bubiashie in Accra were in huge flames.
It was unclear what might have caused the fire. According to an eye witness who spoke in an interview, there were no casualties recorded as students were at prep as of the time the fire started at around 7 pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
4. Accra-Tema motorway accident
A Sprinter bus and a Toyota Ella were involved in a near-fatal accident on the Accra-Tema motorway. The accident occurred on Monday, January 20, 2020, at the Action Chapel junction, on the Accra-Tema motorway.
5. Accra-Takoradi road fatal accident
A fatal accident killed five people on the Accra-Takoradi road. 15 others were said to be in critical condition and were rushed to the hospital.
The accident resulted from a head-on collision between an articulator truck and a Toyota Minibus.
In other news, Bernice King, the last child of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, has recently come out to speak deep emotional words concerning the death of both her parents as well as her grandmother.
The 56-year-old American minister and the youngest of her siblings indicated that she was marking the 14th anniversary of her mother's death.
Bernice, took to her official Twitter handle named Be A King to state that she was a gun violence survivor and created a deep impression that portrayed hurt and pent-up emotional pain.
