Hearts of Oak to face Kotoko in UK to mark Ghana's Independence Annivesary

Ghanaian football giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will battle each other in the United Kingdom for the first time in Ghana's history.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh, the football game is part of celebrations to mark Ghana's Independence on March 6.

The game, which is a friendly encounter will be played in London at the Barnett Stadium on March 7.

The match is being organised by Proball International Limited, spearheaded by Nana Yaw Amponsah and Justin Addo. The former contested for the position of the Ghana Football Association Presidency in 2019.

The Super clash is set to afford fans of Hearts and Kotoko residing in England the opportunity to watch their favourite clubs.

Meanwhile, former Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, has surprised football lovers with his all-time Black Stars best XI.

The list was released by Appiah after he launched his own book. Appiah explained why he chose Asamoah Gyan ahead of Tony Yeboah when it comes to the striking role.

The former coach noted that the choice of players for his best XI was based on players he watched, played with and coached.
