For 37 years, Bobby Love a US man, lived blissfully after escaping from prison and changing his name.
However, his days of luck ran out and he was apprehended at his home after living a double life for close to four decades.
In numerous posts shared on Facebook page Humans of New York, his wife described the day he was arrested as a ''normal day'' when a knock on their door changed their lives.
Born Walter Miller, Bobby escaped prison back in the 70s and travelled to New York.
There, he met a gorgeous woman named Cheryl who became his wife and mother of his kids.
The two had their happily ever after but it was cut short in 2015 after authorities traced his home and camped at his door.
In his past life, Bobby was a robber who staged heists at banks after hanging out with notorious kids from the block.
During one of the thefts, the reformed thief was short in the behind while trying to get away.
“One of those banks had a silent alarm. And while we were stuffing our bags full of money, the manager pulled the trigger,” the 69-year-old said.
After his long stint on the wrong side of the law, Bobby was arrested and sentenced to 25 to 30 years behind bars.
His good behaviour then saw him transferred to a minimum security prison.
That is when he seized the chance to claim his new life and run away from the North Carolina facility.
In 2015, Bobby’s arrest was in every news outlet and immediately people started talking about the man who got a second chance then lost it after 37 years.
After being placed under custody again, Bobby’s wife wrote letters to Obama and pleaded with the then president to free her husband.
"My world came crashing down. Bobby's arrest was all over the papers," Cheryl said.
In 2016, the convict was released.
